Our Mission and Business Model

Our mission is to help users ensure originality and integrity in writing through AI-powered detection.

TurnitChecker provides AI-based text analysis and detection tools.

You may access certain free features, while other features require one-time purchase credits or usage tokens.

Purchases and Usage

Purchase Model:

TurnitChecker operates on a pay-per-use basis. Users may purchase credits or usage times to access premium detection functions. Each purchase grants a specific number of uses, which are consumed upon submission.

Non-Refundable:

All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law. Because detection services are instantly delivered and computationally consumed, refunds cannot be provided once the process has started.

Expiration:

Purchased credits or usage tokens may have an expiration period, as stated at the time of purchase. Expired credits cannot be reactivated.

Changes:

We may update our pricing or usage structure from time to time. Any changes will apply only to future purchases, not to previously purchased credits.

Your Ownership of Data and Permissions You Grant Us

User Content refers to the text and documents you upload to TurnitChecker for analysis.

You retain ownership of your User Content.

To operate our service, you grant us a limited license to process your content for the following purposes:

Operating and improving the detection engine;

Debugging and ensuring accuracy;

Preventing abuse or misuse;

Conducting aggregate, anonymized statistical analysis to improve product quality.

This license is:

• Worldwide, so you can access your data anywhere;
• Non-exclusive, meaning you retain ownership;
• Royalty-free;
• Limited to operational purposes only.

We do not sell or share User Content with third parties. We do not use your text for unrelated training or marketing purposes.

You are solely responsible for the legality of your content and must not upload or use the service for any unlawful purpose.

Our Intellectual Property Rights

TurnitChecker's software, algorithms, and interfaces are protected by copyright and trademark laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our products solely for lawful purposes.

All rights not expressly granted to you remain with TurnitChecker.

Acceptable Use and Responsibilities

Do not use TurnitChecker to upload illegal, abusive, or infringing materials.

Do not attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, or exploit the system in unauthorized ways.

Do not share purchased accounts or access tokens.

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.

Age Requirements:

You must be at least 13 years old in the U.S. or 16 years old elsewhere, or older if required by local laws.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access without notice if:

You breach these terms or applicable laws;

You attempt to misuse or manipulate the system;

You engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior.

Termination of your account will not entitle you to a refund for any unused credits.

Sections including "Warranty Disclaimers," "Limitation of Liability," "Resolving Disputes," and "Intellectual Property Rights" will survive termination.

Discontinuation or Modification

We may modify or discontinue specific features of the product at any time.

Where reasonably possible, we'll provide advance notice and allow you to use remaining valid credits before discontinuation.

Warranty Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TURNITCHECKER AND ITS AFFILIATES PROVIDE ALL PRODUCTS "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND—EXPRESS OR IMPLIED—INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE 100% ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF AI DETECTION RESULTS.

Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL TURNITCHECKER'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

TURNITCHECKER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions may not allow these exclusions, so certain provisions may not apply.

Resolving Disputes

Before taking legal action, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally.

If unresolved, disputes will be handled under the laws and courts of San Francisco County, California, unless local consumer protection laws require otherwise.

Appropriate Use of TurnitChecker

TurnitChecker is designed to promote academic integrity and detect AI-generated or plagiarized content.

You must not use this service to falsify authorship, evade institutional rules, or misrepresent content originality.

This tool is a supplementary aid, not a replacement for academic or editorial review.

Mandatory Arbitration (U.S. Residents)

If you are a U.S. resident, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Consumer Arbitration Rules.

No class actions are permitted; disputes must be resolved individually.

Controlling Law

These terms are governed by California law, except where local consumer protection laws apply differently.

Miscellaneous Legal Terms

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and TurnitChecker.

Failure to enforce a provision does not waive our rights.

If any provision is invalid, the remainder stays in effect.

You may not assign rights without our consent.

TurnitChecker may assign these terms to affiliates or successors.

Modifications to These Terms

We may revise these terms from time to time.

If updates significantly affect your rights, we will provide advance notice before changes take effect.

Your continued use after such updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
